Tepora V9 Heated Vest, 9 Heating Zones

A thin, quilted vest with nine carbon-fibre heating panels sewn in: one under the collar, two across the upper back, two on the lower back, two on the chest and two behind the zipped pockets, so your hands find warmth too. Press and hold the button for three seconds and the panels warm up in about five seconds; the vest starts on the highest level for a few minutes, then settles on the level you choose.

Two buttons on the chest: the left one runs the front (chest and pockets), the right one the back (collar, shoulders and lower back). Three levels each — 40, 47 and 55 °C, shown by the colour of the light. It runs on 5 V from a USB power bank in the zipped inner pocket; a 10,000 mAh power bank comes in the box, with two USB outputs to charge your phone as well. On one charge: up to 8 hours with only the back on the low level, 6–7 hours with all nine zones on low, 5 on medium, 3 on high. A cut-out stops the current if a panel gets too hot.

The shell is a light, water-repellent and windproof ripstop; inside there is soft fleece, and the high collar is lined too. About 450 g: it goes under a work jacket or a coat, or over a jumper at home. Unisex sizes S to 5XL. Machine washable at 30 °C in the laundry bag that comes with it, once the power bank is unplugged.
